It reminds us that no matter how far we have fallen\, God’s mercy is greater than our sin. Revealed most fully in Jesus Christ\, especially in His Passion\, Death\, and Resurrection\, it is an invitation to trust in Him and to extend that same mercy to others. \n\n\n\nOn February 22\, 1931\, Jesus appeared to St. Faustina Kowalska in Poland and asked for an image to be painted: Him clothed in white\, with red and white rays flowing from His heart and the words\, “Jesus\, I trust in You.” The rays symbolize the blood and water that flowed from His side during His Passion. Through St. Faustina\, Jesus entrusted the Church with devotion to His Divine Mercy. \n\n\n\nThese devotions include Divine Mercy Sunday (the Sunday after Easter)\, the Divine Mercy Chaplet & Novena\, and the Hour of Mercy at 3:00 PM\, each offering a powerful invitation to receive His grace and trust in His mercy. Jesus desires that all souls come to know the depth of His mercy. \n\n\n\n“Oh\, what great graces I will grant to souls who say this Chaplet. Write down these words\, my daughter. Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognize my unfathomable mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice. While there is still time\, let them have recourse to the fount of my mercy; let them profit from the blood and water which gushed forth for them.” (Diary of St. Faustina\, 848) \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPlease note: A plenary indulgence may be received on the Feast of Mercy by going to Confession (on or near the feast)\, attending Mass and receiving Holy Communion in a state of grace\, and venerating the Divine Mercy Image. We will have regularly scheduled Mass times on Saturday\, April 11 (5:00 PM Vigil)\, and Sunday\, April 12.
