Welcome, Connor!

Connor Brown is a seminarian from the Diocese of Orange who has been assigned to St. Hedwig Parish this summer from Saturday, June 6 through Sunday, July 19. Connor recently completed Configuration Year I (Year 4 of 8), marking the halfway point in his seminary formation. He is no stranger to St. Hedwig Parish, as this has been his home parish since birth. Connor attended St. Hedwig Catholic School and graduated in 2013. During his time here, he served as an altar server and was also active in baseball and Boy Scout Troop activities.

He later attended St. John Bosco High School, graduating in 2017, before continuing his studies at Boise State University. It was during his time at Boise State that he first began to feel called to the priesthood. Like many seminarians, however, he initially ran from God’s call. While in college, Connor became deeply involved in the Newman Center on campus, where he formed meaningful friendships that helped strengthen his trust in God’s plan for his life. As God’s persistence became undeniable, Connor eventually entered St. Paul Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, after earning his bachelor’s degree in finance from Boise State.

During his first summer assignment as a seminarian, Connor especially enjoyed getting to know families in the parish community. He is now looking forward to meeting the families and parishioners of St. Hedwig this summer. Connor will be assisting at Masses and liturgies, helping with the day-to-day operations of the Parish and Faith Formation Offices, and participating in various parish events and activities. Please join us in giving him a warm St. Hedwig welcome when you see him!
