Thank You for Joining us for St. Anthony’s First-Class Relic Visitation!
On June 8, 2026, St. Hedwig Parish had the honor of having two first-class relics of St. Anthony of Padua visit our parish – just days before his Feast Day on June 13. The visit was part of a tour of his relics in the Diocese of Orange and was accompanied by Frs. Fabio Turrisendo and Matteo Martinelli, Franciscan friars from the Pontifical Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua, Italy.
Following Mass celebrated by the friars, dozens of faithful gathered to venerate the first-class relics—including fragments of skin from St. Anthony’s cheek and his floating rib—and to seek the intercession of the beloved patron saint of lost and stolen possessions.
At the conclusion of the tour, the friars took the intentions of the faithful collected on prayer cards back to the Basilica in Padua where they prayed upon the intentions at the tomb of Saint Anthony.
