  • We are excited to welcome Fr. Bala Udumala as our full-time Parochial Vicar at Saint Hedwig Church, beginning on Tuesday, July 1st!

Fr. Bala brings a dynamic background in parish ministry, social outreach, and Catholic media. His work—from reviving village missions in India to launching the first Catholic TV channel for Telugu-speaking audiences—has helped share the Gospel with millions. A gifted speaker, educator, and filmmaker, he has trained hundreds of young Catholic journalists and produced award-winning faith-based films and programs. Fr. Bala has previously served in parishes throughout California and, most recently, as Parochial Vicar in the Diocese of Orange. His joyful spirit and deep pastoral care will be a blessing to our community. Read more about Fr. Bala’s inspiring journey here.

At the same time, Fr. Dave will transition to part-time Parochial Vicar as he focuses on his health. We are grateful for his continued presence and ask that you keep Fr. Bala, Fr. Dave, and Fr. Tran in your prayers as they serve together in ministry.
