Monthly Rosary For Life

Our Respect Life Ministry prays the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary for all LIFE (from conception to natural death) every last Sunday of the month at 1:15 PM in Quinn Hall. All are welcome! Please note, Rosary for life is cancelled on Sunday, September 28, 2025 due to Autumnfest.

In honor of Respect Life and the month of the Holy Rosary, we will pray the Rosary every Sunday in October at 1:15 PM in Quinn Hall starting Sunday, October 5th.

Spiritual Adoption Program

Thank you to everyone who helped with our 2025 Spiritual Adoption signups! We had 156 parishioners (individuals and families combined) sign up to pray for an unborn baby at risk of being aborted. We also had 15 new members join our ministry. Welcome to all of you who are new to the ministry, we are so grateful for you.

The Spiritual Adoption program was started by Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen after the 1972 Roe v Wade decision. The Spiritual Adoption program gives individuals and families an opportunity to “spiritually adopt” and pledge to pray daily for the life of an unborn child who conceived this month and is in danger of being aborted. Although none of us will never know the baby you are praying for, God will. We will provide weekly updates in the bulletin so parishioners can follow the development of their adopted baby as he or she grows in the womb. Each month there will also be large posters outside of Quinn Hall showing the baby’s development. The Spiritual Adoption program begins on September 6, 2025. The adopted babies will be born in 9 months, May 2026. In May we will host a “baby shower”. The gifts that are donated will be presented to Precious Life Shelter to help homeless mothers who have chosen life for their babies.

Day 1 (Sept. 6):  Your Spiritually Adopted baby is conceived! At the moment of conception my new human life begins, complete with my own DNA. My sex is determined and although I am no bigger than a grain of sugar, I have a soul!

Week 2 (Sept. 13): I may be tiny, but I am already communicating with my mother. I let her body’s defenses know that even though we are genetically different, I am not an enemy to her body, but a friend. I send a signal to my mommy telling her I need nourishment and her body knows to prepare a place to protect and nourish me in her womb. Thank you for praying for me.

Week 3 (Sept. 20): At the moment of my conception my single cell contains 46 chromosomes that determine the
details of my human development: whether I am a boy or girl, what I will look like, my personality and my emotional make-up. I know that God has made me perfectly in His Image! Keep praying for me!

Week 4 (Sept. 27): Even at this early stage of my life, my neural tube has formed and it will develop into my
brain and spinal cord. My heart and circulatory system is quickly forming also. Already I
have the foundation for thought, senses and feeling! I am wonderfully made! Thank you God!

Week 6 (Oct. 4): Thank you for praying for me. Things are really starting to happen now. Hey look! My arms and legs are budding. I have an umbilical cord through which my wastes are removed, and my mommy supplies me with oxygen and nutrients. Most of my organs are beginning to develop. My lungs are starting to appear. All four heart chambers are functioning, and my blood is pumping. If you listen really close you can hear my 15t heartbeat! With each beat of my heart I say, “I love you God!

Week 7 (Oct. 11): So much is happening every day! My elbows have formed. Now I can bend and flex my arms. Watch out Bruce Lee! My tiny little fingers are starting to grow. I have feet with tiny notches for toes. I can’t wait until my mommy plays “This little piggy” with them! When I get bigger, I will use my feet to nudge my mommy to remind her that I am here! Thank you God, for creating me!

Week 8 (Oct. 18): I am only a half an inch long, but remember, “A person is a person, no matter how small!” My
cartilage and bones are starting to form. My tongue is beginning to develop. Someday I will use it to sing God’s praises and to tell my Mom and Dad I love them. Keep me in your prayers!

Week 9 (Oct. 25): This week I have almost doubled in size. I am nearly one inch long. Guess what? Most of my
joints have formed. My fingerprints are already evident and no one else will ever have fingerprints exactly like mine. I can move my arms, legs, fingers and toes! I’ve discovered I can curve my fingers around things like my toes, ears, nose and my other fingers! One day I will hold on tight to my mommy’s finger! Wow! God has blessed me with a truly amazing body. Thank you for praying for me.
